Meet Darylyn

Darylyn grew up in St George Utah, watching her parents dancing around the kitchen and teaching social dance classes. She followed suit and quickly discovered her passion for dance. At 11, she joined a ballroom group class at Agrello’s and soon discovered her love for ballroom and her ability to understand it well. She continued in those group classes and private lessons from the instructors for three years when she then turned 14 and went to Tuacahn High School for the Arts. This was Darylyns dream. At the school, she was dancing almost all day every day in a variety of Ballet, Modern, Ballroom and Jazz, and got to be on their high school ballroom team and take private lessons with their instructor.

Continuing to find places to dance, she took Ballet and Partnering at a local dance studio and returned to taking private lessons from Agrello’s. Throughout all this time, she was also involved in the local theater and was in many plays. Some of her favorites were Hello Dolly and Into the Woods. 

Around 16, Darylyn had the opportunity to teach ballroom at Fire Canyon Academy. She taught there for two years and loved it. She loved getting to teach and enjoyed getting to know the students even more. Darylyn went to Utah Tech University and joined their ballroom team and dance program. Continuing her studies in dance, she was a part of UTU Ballroom Company for two years getting to be dance captain, win competitions, travel to Japan on a dance tour, and have her own ballroom students perform with UTU Ballroom Company in their concerts. 

  Darylyn is recently married to her amazing husband Ty, and together, they have decided to start their life out here waiting for whatever adventure life may hold.
